UFH Pioneers Student Support: Exploring New Podcasts for Language & Academic Skills

The Teaching and Learning Centre (TLC) at the University of Fort Hare is thrilled to share a forward-thinking initiative aimed at significantly enhancing our student support programmes. We are actively exploring the development of a dedicated series of podcasts for our student portal, specifically designed to address common challenges students face with language, writing, and various other crucial academic issues.

This idea stems from a deep commitment to providing accessible, engaging, and impactful resources. We recognise that foundational skills in academic writing and communication are paramount for success, yet often pose significant hurdles for students. By leveraging the power of podcasts, we aim to deliver practical advice, tips, and insights directly to you, in a format that fits seamlessly into your busy schedules. Imagine having expert guidance on structuring an essay, refining your grammar, or mastering academic research techniques, all available at your fingertips, anytime, anywhere.

We envision these podcasts as an invaluable addition to our existing student support mechanisms. Furthermore, we are eager to collaborate with our talented peer facilitators, empowering them to contribute to building this academic component of Grad. Their insights from the student perspective will be crucial in tailoring content that truly resonates and assists.

This project is in its early stages, but we are incredibly enthusiastic about its potential to provide a fresh, dynamic approach to addressing the academic struggles many students encounter. Your success is our priority, and we are continuously seeking innovative ways to support your learning journey.

Many thanks again for your ongoing support as we develop these vital resources.
